Welcome to Move That Mountain – a consulting and coaching company with a social conscience.
I’m Heath and after years of working in senior leadership roles across a wide variety of sectors and getting a real buzz from supporting people around me to develop, grow and be the best version of themselves along the way, I decided it was time to apply the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years to help others who find themselves facing that seemingly unnavigable mountain of a problem.
Whether it be in life or business, the problems we face often feel like they are impossible to overcome or work around. The size of the mountain in front of you, is of course usually a matter of perspective and by taking a step-or-two back, or climbing into the proverbial helicopter to get a better view of the whole thing, the route through often becomes clearer.
I know this is easier said than done, when you’re living in the middle of whatever challenge you’re faced with. That’s where I come in.
With over 25 years’ experience of supporting people to navigate, adapt and overcome challenges, I can bring a fresh perspective and ask those questions that are maybe too uncomfortable to ask yourself – or those that deep-down you really know the answers to.
I’ve worked at all levels of organisations, from front-line through to and including CEO and successfully navigated organisational turnaround, team and leadership development. Re-imagining strategy and delivering large-scale change projects, also making my fair share of mistakes along the way.
Working with business leaders and teams to improve performance, governance and culture is at the core of what I do. With an early start as an engineer, I have a tendency to pull things apart, see how they can work better, and put them back together again – even if they are working.
The journey of continuous improvement is one that I’m passionate about, whether on a personal, team, or organisation level and I’ve found it’s something people talk about a lot, but don’t necessarily invest the time and effort to do – or having started it, they neglect to embed the new practices into their businesses, instead keeping the change wheel turning and eventually creating change fatigue amongst their staff.
The pragmatic, straight forward approaches I have successfully employed are tailored to a given situation or team and might just help you unlock that illusive potential you know is there, but can’t get to.
